The unemployment in Bulgaria remains stable in October 2017, standing at 6.1%, according to the latest Eurostat seasonally adjusted data. The unemployment rate in Bulgaria has remained stable over the past four months, ranging between 6.1% and 6.2%. On an annual basis, there is still a significant decrease, from 7.0% unemployment rate in October last year.
The unemployed people in Bulgaria in the tenth month of 2017 have a total of 203,000, according to data from the European statistics.
The youth unemployment rate in the country continues to decline steadily, albeit high. In October it reached 11.5%, but compared to just four months ago it was 2 percentage points higher. On an annual basis, youth unemployment rate recorded an even more significant decline, and in October 2016 it was 16.9%. A total of 19,000 young people under the age of 25 were unemployed in the ninth month of the year.
The unemployment within the EU dropped to 7.4% in October from 7.5% in September. The unemployment rate in the EU in October is the lowest since November 2008.
